Anantara Farmhouse, Rajasthan

“Dil Dhoondta hai, phir wohi, fursat ke raat din”

Farmhouse visit: As lockdown status changed to unlock, the itch to travel returned with higher severity. I was literally tired of eating self-cooked food, Netflix, and reposting old pics over social media. Time stood still since March 2020. Now, it was the time to reclaim what I had lost for over eight months. It was time to live, to rejoice, to travel, to drive, take a lazy crazy short vacation… a perfect time for a weekend road trip.

However, no matter how much brave we felt, the concern over covid remained the same. Amidst this internal chaos and turmoil of thoughts, we searched for something nearby, closer to Delhi-Gurgaon, where we could drive over a weekend, have a good time together and rejuvenate. We were looking for a homestay where we could go with our family and close friends, to a home away from home, where the entire place would be available to us, a place where someone would cook our choicest meals of varied cuisines, a destination where we could really enjoy without being overwhelmed with covid fears.

A Farmhouse near Delhi

By the stroke of luck, our search ended with Anantara Farmhouse at Behror Rajasthan. Am glad we did not deliberate much and just went ahead with our weekend reservation through Airbnb.

Epilogue

A parallel can be drawn here with the life of a cell phone. It gets charged to 100% and then slowly gets discharged until it needs charging again. Similar is the case of our lives. Anantara Farmhouse was such a charging station for us. It was not a lavish resort or a fancy hotel, but a home away from home where we could relax, rewind and rejuvenate before limping back to the grind of our mundane urban lifestyle.

Anantara Farmhouse provided the much-needed break we all longed for!
